Great news that we have a fabulous page in We Are Swindon which gives us lots more ‘exposure’, thanks to new committee member Angela Atkinson: https://weareswindon.co.uk/swindons-charity-hub/friends-of-swindon-museum-and-art-gallery/

Although the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery is currently CLOSED

  • Talks are currently taking place via Zoom. Friends will receive links to these talks
  • We are continuing to fundraise for Swindon Museum & Art Gallery and have committed £500 towards the running of Art on Tour this summer
  • The children’s workshops at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery over the summer of 2019 were a massive success thanks to the funding provided by the Friends.  The support given by members of the Friends through volunteering to help run the workshops was fantastic and was much appreciated by the visitors and staff at Swindon MAG. We are sorry they won’t take place this summer.

Cllr Robert Jandy has replaced Cllr Heenan in his role, but while he was in post, Cllr Heenan

was suggested for an award as an arts supporter:

and then Cllr Dale Heenan came second in the bid to find the country’s number one arts supporter:
