Juliet Wood: From Response to Lasting Image

Juliet Wood makes paintings and oil pastels from drawings, often fast and incomplete but always directly observed. Her work expresses human life and interaction, and the poignancy of what is so often seen yet unspoken.

A major retrospective with new work was shown in 2019 at the Bankside Gallery, London. Juliet’s portraits are in many public and private collections throughout the UK, and she has published two books about her work.

Now, Juliet will join the Friends of Swindon Museum and Art Gallery to give a talk about her fascinating work as part of our Digital Talks Programme.

PLEASE NOTE: Our digital talks are accessible exclusively to members of the Friends of Swindon Museum and Art Gallery. If you would like to join (for £15 per year) your support would be hugely appreciated during these difficult times. As a member you will receive the details for joining all our digital talks via Zoom!
