Friends of Museum and Art Swindon
We are a voluntary organisation helping to promote and support Museums & Art in Swindon, raising its profile by social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

- Displays of the collections can be seen at the Civic Offices, STEAM and Highworth Museum
What do the Friends do?:
- Support the preservation and conservation of the collections.
- Help expand the collections by funding new acquisitions.
- Hold educational Zoom sessions each month.
- Would like to volunteer and support museum activities.
- Develop relationships with Swindon Borough Council.

This talk by Susan Greaney of Exeter university will chart the fascinating story of Stonehenge over the 20th century. It’ll do so through historic photographs and personal stories that tell of some key moments and memories.

Lucy Abel Smith
Lucy Abel Smith and her husband, David, are well know to the Friends for the Biennial fresh air sculpture exhibitions at their home in the old rectory. Indeed, some of the Friends enjoyed a delightful evening wandering around the gardens at Quenington, admiring the sculptures and drinking wine, earlier this summer.
