Trip to Watts Gallery

The brilliantly restored Watts Gallery (Surrey) is devoted to the work of great Victorian artists George Frederic and Mary Watts and first opened its doors to the public in 1904. A purpose-built art gallery with over one-hundred paintings by George Frederic Watts is on permanent display.

This trip promises to be a fun and fascinating day. We will arrive at Watts Gallery at 10:30am, and (after tea, coffee and biscuits) will be given a guided tour of Limnerslease House, where the artists lived. There will then be time to explore the artists studios and have lunch. We will then have a gallery tour, followed by a visit to the Watts Cemetery Chapel, conceived by Mary Seaton Watts and designed by Sir Ernest George, one of the leading arts and crafts architects of the time.
