Kate Malone is a British studio potter and ceramic artist known for her large sculptural vessels and rich, bright glazes. Inspired by nature, the chemistry of glazing and a drive to bring joy to the beholder, her vibrant creations are at once contemporary and timeless. In this talk Kate allows us a peek into her ongoing projects, which include recent surprising collaborations with architects, a factory and a scarf maker. She also highlights team work and world travels, and discusses her ‘confidence that the making process will bring surprises’. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the artist who created one of Swindon’s most treasured ceramics.
